Located in the heart of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District, World Monster HQ is the most terrifying comics and animation studio in the Midwest! We’re a collective of cartoonists, storytellers, writers, animators, illustrators, game designers, videogame artists, painters… a bunch of talented and extremely versatile artists who all share a deep love of the comics medium. World Monster HQ (formerly known as Big Time Attic) has been at the center of the Twin Cities comics scene for over two decades.

Artists at World Monster HQ use a variety of modern and traditional tools to tell stories—everything from watercolors and India Ink to high-tech tablets and industry-standard software.

Our projects include award-winning comics series, games, illustrated books, and various print projects. Studio members have worked with major publishers like Image, Dark Horse, DC Comics, Oni Press, Vault Comics, & Heavy Metal, as well as small local presses and arts organizations.

Since we are a working space, we are only open to the public for special events such as art crawls and open studio weekends, when visitors may tour locations around the Arts District and see what studio life is all about. During these events we typically have books and prints available for purchase.
